Armour Dilemma
Well, one thing I love about Guild Wars is how flexible the game is. You can adjust so many things about your character to make you perfectly suited for any situation, that is... if you had enough storage.
I try to adjust my equipment accordingly to any one build. If I know I'm going to be facing huge mobs dealing lots of physical damage, I'll bring my trusty knights. If I know I'm going to be dealing with heavy casters, I'd like to bring along plate male or even Sentinels.
Adjusting your equipment also means taking the right runes. Some build definately benfifiet from multiple superior runes, however I don't want to be walking around with those penatlies all the time do I? And it's not feasable to constantly over-write runes on my armor is it? So I want to have peices just for Superiour runes, and pieces for normal combat with minor runes.
Of course, there is no way I would ever have all the space to REALLY do all of this, so I'm forced to essentially to limit my ability to adapt to a situation and use armor that may not be suited well for that area, simply because I just can't store multiple sets with different runes.
So, what do you do when you face this problem? Do you simply stick to one style of armor and take it with you no matter where you go, or do you sacrifice precious inventory space for greater adaptability?

This should probably go in the warrior section, but doesn't matter. What I do is have a set of all different +1 helmets. One for each attribute plus 1 extra for all around purpose. Each helmet should contain it's superior rune so in the end you have this:
1+3 Tactics
1+3 Axe
1+3 Sword
1+3 Hammer
1+3 Strength
1+1 Strength (tanking mostly)
As for armor you should probably have 2 sets. I suggest something along the lines of gladiatiors full set + stoneskin gloves(pvp) and second set something like sentinels or platemail(tanking).
By using a set up like this you should be able to change your armor easier depending on your environment. Hope that helps a bit

No, because this is a problem for all classes. I'd like to have a pair of every type of armor, aesthetics I could care less about, I want functionality. I've sacrificed a bit of inventory space for a variety of items and armor which I really don't think I should have to give up.

ATM on my warrior, i have a set of 15k Gladiators, and a set of 15k Luxon Sentinels. Im chaning my 15k Glads for 15k Kurzick glads cos it looks so good. [My sentinels if for axe mastery, my gladiators for swordmanship.]

I know this might sound stupid but I have a huge fettish for energy boosting armor. So most of my characters have only one set of armor. There are only two exceptions.
Warrior1: If Im playing sword/axe I will bring my Kurzick 15k Gladiator.
Warrior2: For hammer I will use my 15k Platemail. This compensates for the lack of shield.
Monk1: Some regular armor with runes (sup vigor, minor divine, minor heal, minor prot).
Monk2: Standard 55 armor.
The important thing is to put your superior runes on only one item, preferably your head piece(combined with the +1). Then you only usually have 1 piece of armor to swap when you change builds.

im facing the problem with my monk. im usually not a person that wants the perfect bits out of everything so i just change essential parts of armor (eg helmet when going from axe to hammer or so) but as a monk u need a bunch of armor sets i recogned. my whole backpack is filled with the following: Identkit, Salvagekit, minipet, totem axe, 2 offhands, 2 staffs, rest is armor... thats nearly 4 complete sets but ok...
i often mention that the storage is too small. with the material storage the problem is fixed a bit. but id would help if the material storage is expanded too dyes :P
